Support all Charlottesville Students and Teachers with a Single Donation to the City-wide PTO
Increase Funding. Address Inequities. Amplify Impact.
At a time when state and federal funding for public education is being slashed despite growing student and teacher needs, our PTOs are stepping up to support school programming.
Launched at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the Charlottesville City-wide PTO Fund aims to provide increased, more evenly distributed resources for Charlottesville public school students and staff by coordinating fundraising efforts and leveraging community connections.
Addressing Inequities
Did you know that all the PTOs combined raise less than $100,000 a year -- or about $17 per student/teacher/staff?
And in recent years one school raised $20,000 while another just $4,500. A combined City-wide PTO Fund addresses this imbalance and aims to be a more fair and consistent source of funds across CCS.

About the Fund
We are a small school district, but we can be far more powerful and effective when we work together. This City-wide PTO positions Charlottesville public schools to expand our funding pool at a critical moment in a way that ensures more fair and consistent funding for all our schools. The impact will be felt from preschool through 12th grade and across the community.
