Support all Cville Students and Teachers with a Single Donation to the City-wide PTO
Did you know that all the PTOs combined raise less than $100,000 a year -- or about $17 per student/teacher/staff? And in recent years one school raised $20,000 while another just $4,500. A combined City-wide PTO Fund addresses this imbalance and aims to be a more fair and consistent source of funds across CCS.

At a time when state and federal funding for public education is being slashed despite growing student and teacher needs, our PTOs are stepping up to support school programming. Launched at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the Charlottesville City-wide PTO Fund aims to provide increased, more evenly distributed resources for Charlottesville public school students and staff by coordinating fundraising efforts and leveraging community connections.
The proceeds of this Fund will allow schools to better support student events, field trips, teacher grants, academic enrichment opportunities, and community assistance.
